Got a strange one. In stereo mode no FM. Dead quiet. In mono, tuning the FM dial gets AM stations. It reads an FM number but the station is AM. How is that even possible. Maybe a microprocessor issue?

These Altec speakers sat in my shed for the last 10-15 years. I took them out last weekend and refinished the cabinets. The grill cloth came in today, so I finished them. They are not that red, something about the lighting and my phone camera did that. Sitting along side my JBL L100 and JBL C50...

I sanded these down with 600 grit paper for a baby butt smooth surface, sprayed several coats of polyurethane, put on new tweeter foam rings and replaced the twist pin speaker connectors with 5-way binding posts. I do have some foam coming for the speaker grills.
