Thanks for the link. I ordered two of them. I recently had an issue with a couple of counterfeit technical tools (location shown as USA, but shipped from China) so, in general, I generally restrict my ebay searches to USA vendors.
Anyone have a source for CD player belts? Apparently, they are not as easily found as they once were. Belt is for a Cambridge Audio Azure 640C. Square belt, a little less than 3-1/2" in outside circumference, 3" inside circumference, 1.5mm across the flats, 2mm across the peaks.
Owner's manual?
Any of you guys have a copy of the owner's manual for a SR8100DC? I picked one up cheap that was in near perfect cosmetic shape and working, but after a couple of weeks the LED display lit up all of its segments and now the protection or power relay won't pull in. I was...
How and with what are you guys mounting your crossovers
I like to use 1/4" threaded rod and bolt them together with the rear baffle. An early pair is shown in the photo. Lately I use one aluminum rod and one brass so I can keep the phase right if the thumb nuts come off.
I use heavy cardboard shipping tubes, not PVC. I drill a 1/4" pilot hole (or holes, for more than one port) through the baffle, then use a hole saw about the same size as the O.D. of the tube and drill halfway through from the back, then using a hole saw the same I.D. as the I.D. of the port...
Gentle application of alcohol and a cotton ball may get it off. Do the whole cone, not just the stained part. May take more than one application. Hydrogen peroxide is also good for removing stains from Aquaplas. It's actually pretty tough stuff. More like a mineral plaster than paint. If you...
As good as you can teach a mechanical engineer to do so. I hooked up a three wire cord/plug . Green wire went to a gound screw on the fixture.
I'm thinking an email to Lithonia Lighting is in order. It boggles the mind that they would mass merchandise these at Home Depot when they have...
These were purchased new within the last month.
Most everything here is on the usual 300 ohm dipole. I'm only about 6 or 8 miles from the tower. I'm on a hill, tower is on another hill across the Ohio River, virtually line of sight.
FM interference from a T8 flourescent fixture - This drove me crazy for a couple of weeks until I figured out the cause, but now, how to fix it?
I had a couple of ballasts in old-fashioned T-12 flourescent lighting fixtures go bad in my basement, so I went to HD and bought a couple of new...
So - may we consider the HF section of the XO and PL posted over on the PE-TT site to be specific to the DE250-QSC combo, or does it contain some compromise to accomodate the Eminence LF driver?
LOL - I'm in, and I owe you a beer (or six) for the link. Item #1 on the first page in the sevice manual: "(1) Power Switch - Notes - The platter will not turn when the tonearm is on the rest..." DOH! Guess maybe I should have read the Owner's Manual the guy gave me?
Thanks to all...
In the process of buying a Pioneer RT-909 reel-to-reel from a CL seller, I saw that he also had one of the old silver direct-drive PL-600 turntables he was thinking of selling. Probably bought them both at the same time from an Air Force PX? Immaculate in appearance, but the platter doesn't...
I have absolutely no commercial interest or connection to this: Ya'll take a look at eBay item 180453849578. It's already closed, (Oops - still a few minutes left!) so it's too late to bid up the price. :lmao:

Fairly common JBL speaker from the late 1960's. As to worth, condition is everything. The componants are commonly available. The white Lansaloy...
Oldest currently are W70D Wharfedales, circa 1967. After that it's a photo finish, Altec Valencias or Madrids? EPI 201's are from about 1974 and a pair of the original vertical alignment JBL L100's maybe a little older than the EPI's?
Amen. Selling sub $10 plastic waveguides by phone-order has to be a loosing proposition. Labor per phone call alone would break the bank. I don't understand why they can automate the web-based tent sale and not the waveguides? That would at least take out the labor of the archaic phone order...
Ditto here in Louisville. Three public stations, one classical, one NPR/news, one new music/adult alternative. No commercials, at least not in the commercial radio sense. Have not listened to AM for 20 or 30 years, or commercial FM for 15.
Public radio on-line
Public radio station WFPK 91.9 in Louisville can be streamed on-line. Jazz most of the day on Sundays, eclectic adult most of the rest of the time. No rap or commercial pop. http://www.wfpk.org/
I believe he is three-for-three there...I stand corrected! :ntwrthy:
[as Luke leaves before completing his training]
Obi-Wan: That boy is our last hope.
Yoda: No. There is another.
Hmmm....D-208 is an 8" driver, since only one works, and you are doing mono, replace the dead D208 with one of the 8" waveguides? What issues would there be with the resulting horizontal arrangement???
Any particular reason you chose the 364700 90x50 WG over the 365124 120x60 WG? Both 8" square, 1" threaded from the AE series. Looks like the 365124 factory x-o was at 1.6kHz.
