I'm using a 3mm funk firm anchromat over a 3mm sorbothane mat. Prior to that, anchromat over a cork mat. Funk firm mat has a permanent place under my vinyl.

I've run 4 LT1028 in my rig. I found the 1028 in the second stage to be less musical, compared to the 627. Maybe something in the mids, I just couldn't connect with the content. Right now I'm running 1028 - 627 - 637.

2000 post in this thread later and most of my system is out of storage. Looks like I missed a lot of fun. Tried to skim through, really interested in the bits on lowering gain on the solid state board. Missed a definitive solution? Thanks to everyone keeping this thread going.

i have tried the 1115, in place of the 1028, and found it to be less musical. in my particular application, input of JD9, the LT1028 seems to convey much more emotion. horses for courses. big

x3 on the LT1028 love. Using a pair in my jolida phonostage to great effect. much less noise then the venerable opa627 in that position.
