Agreed. I meant in no way to disparage Terry or his abilities - in fact, he's a great guy, and a wonderful person to talk with. My goal is to find a person as familiar with the BA/CA series as Terry is with McIntosh.

Thanks, Pete - Terry looked at it when I first purchased it several years ago; noticed the problem when he checked through it, but as it was only occasional, he did not seek the cause and repair. IMO, his skill lies with McIntosh, and was not fully vested in the Sansui. Appreciate your input.

Around this time last year - can't recall if was January yet, so this may not count as a 2013 score: Sansui BA-5000 for $100 from Craigslist.

Bought a Sansui CA-2000 from him in May; picked up a TU-9900 from him this morning. Both units are in great condition, and he's a good guy, to boot!

They're still out there - I found my BA-5000 for $125 on Craigslist in December. Not cosmetically perfect, but it's the insides that count. I would like to find a CA 2000 or 3000 to go with it, but not at these prices!
