How old should your (next?) wife be?

Didn't want to muddy up the other thread about marital bliss. Bleccchhh. Ancient Chinese wisdom says your wife should be half your age plus seven. I did the math, works for me. Works for girlfriends too. L

Bad News......GM puts brake on rear-drive vehicles.

Every time the government wants to raise the CAFE standards, the Big Three, or what's left of them, trot out the scary rhetoric. If we left it to them, we'd still be driving big cheaply made gas guzzlers with huge profit margins. If you ever wanted a prime example of a corporate flunky...

Does anyone know what size cartridge hardware is?

Going nuts trying to find a source for cartridge hardware. I think I can get some from a fastener supplier but don't know the size designation........ If anybody has a source, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Somebody should offer a kit of assorted lengths, spacers, etc. Thanks a bunch! Lee

    washing machine recommendations

If you do require a front loader, you might look a the GE. It's a venerable design that's been around a long time. Just noticed that the previous thread was about GE, but that's a top loader. Crappy transmissions. Front loader is a totally different machine. Not as high capacity as the Maytag...

Was selling appliances when the Fisher Paykel came out. It is a great machine. If you don't require a front loader, no other choice IMO.

Another "Looking for a camera" thread

I needed a new camera for eBay that would do closeups and tried many at Target. Settled on the Kodak C533 (got it at Buydig) for a C-note. Very happy with it. Lee

    Plymouth Valiant vs. Audi S4

Doctorbongo- I was unaware that the aluminum block was available after 1962, anywhere. Is that engine original in the '65? Had one in a '62 road toad, had tons of low end torque.

    If Radio Shack goes under

or redefines itself and gets rid of parts, wouldn't that create a great opportunity for small business entrepreneurs? Third Street Hi Fi is doing pretty well with vinyl, used gear, CD transfers, basic repairs, etc., but where would I go if I need a connector, fuse, or any of the other knick...

Beware of Amazon.com/Chase Visa Cards!!!! They've got a nice scam going.

I'm thinking of a number........... My credit score is flawless, never had a bad debt in my life. Imagine my surprise (fury, hatred, pissedoffedness) when I get a call from a collection agency saying I owe them 248.00 on my Amazon Visa. Make a long story short, never activated the card...

Need printer recommendation, Lexmark cartridges stink

Apparently I'm not alone in discovering that Lexmark ink cartridges(17&27) dry up quickly if not used every day. I may be dumb but I'm not stupid. I'm not going to keep shoveling out 40.00+ for two cartridges with planned obsolescence. What should my next printer be? Which brands use the...
