I need to set up a basic 3.1 system for the TV in our bedroom. There is not a lot of extra room so it will also be the music system. I do not need video switching. An integrated amp, receiver or preamp would all be acceptable. The primary concern is that it sounds good on 2.1 for music.

There are quite a few upgrades I plan on making but I haven't received any feedback on this particular factory mod. Because it requires removing internal parts of the cabinet it wouldn't be easy to reverse if I didn't like it.

The differences are mostly inner cabinet and a couple crossover changes.
