Wanted a few portable record storage racks, also wanted them adjustable for the time that there’s not enough to fill them up.
Made the first one this afternoon, 22” long so it could fit into a cabinet if wanted, they will hold about 100 albums when fully extended..
Here’s my prototype...

Hello everyone! I'm new to this word and I'm struggling with a problem about my tonearm.
On some vynil I've experienced a sort of wobble (I have posted a video on YouTube to show you better).
Maybe it's the lp to be warped? So strange..
So, I am dutifully entering my LP collection into Discogs, and wonder what is the proper protocol for entering new information or info that's been logged differently from what I have on the particular release? I tried once on an old junk record and got replies back that while not negative, only...
Sigh. That was the grading for both disc and jacket.
Either they didn't actually grade it, or they were eating a burger and fries while they did so, and then put it on top of the refrigerator for 3 weeks before remembering to list it.
Have not played any of this yet, but here are pictures of the box I received I have read some of the book, there are separate LPs and SACDs of the Stereo and Mono mixes and a 45 rpm single in mono. The booklet states that the mono mix is just the stereo mix folded down which is a...
Hello!
So I'm currently using a Sumiko Blue Point #2 on a Pro-ject RPM 5 and this is by far the best sounding cart I've ever owned. With that said I'm not sure I can (or want to) afford the 450 bucks to replace it every couple years. So I'm wondering if anyone had any opinions on any other...
I have about 100 LP albums I’ve acquired used over the years, most are spoken word, mostly plays. I’ve just started converting them to MP3 files for easier playback.
I have 2 relatively simple turntables, a Technics SL-D2 and a Pioneer PL-990. The Technics is connected to my stereo system. I...
Has anyone realized the Long Play (LP) 12" microgroove record (what most call vinyl) is due to be 70 years old on June 21, 2018? The exact date and issue is somewhat debatable, but who cares. Let's celebrate! RCA had an earlier contender but, that seemed to fail.
"According to the 1949 Columbia...

Hello all,
I recently received Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon lp record for my birthday and the whole thing just hit me. I've always been interested in vinyl and turntables but it always seemed as a huge hassle and basically something out of reach nowadays.
So the moment i held that vinyl...
Hi everyone. So here is my pet hate- double LP's that have short (10-12 min) listening sides. Don't you just hate having to get up and turn the disc over, just when you've managed to snuggle down and relax.
But as Sod's Law dictates most of my favourite LP's (often made during the CD era) are...
This is one of the biggest selling albums of the 60s, clearly people bought it and liked it , what you opinion of it, is it still a good record ? Why did it sell so many copies ? Why was it so appealing to the 60s market ? Does it still have apeal?
Tubular bells has been an album that has has phenominal sales and at its time of release was a very unusual concept. Two sides of continuous music played essentially by one man using multi track technology. Add to that , that it was the first realease on Virgin records and this helped the...
Is it because The Beatles knew that this would be the last album together?
Or
The Beatles had evolved and this was the pinacle of their achievements
Or
EMI had installed a new 8 track desk in Abbey Road and this allowed The Beatles access to greater studio techniques
Or
George Martin...
