With no rules other than 100-130 wpc, maybe the original post needs to be updated with all the additions that were mentioned and maybe the Pioneer Black/SilverĀ® unit(s) could be added. The SX-5580 is the same as the SX-1050 but in different clothes. Additionally, there are Sansui models that are similarly different in looks and model numbers but mostly the same as other models that are on the list. Don't forget the use of quad units in stereo. The Marantz 4400 is rated 125 wpc in stereo.

If the list is still being updated, here's another one i found, Onkyo Integra A-817XD from 1988, i presume a JDM only amp:
    105W+105W (8ohm)
    190W+190W (6ohm)
    235W+235W (4ohm)
    295W+295W (2ohm)

Old thread. Thread originally targeting vintage receivers from 70's to early 80's.
Have seen Yamaha R-100 noted several times but not added to list.
100wx2 8 ohms, 130wx2 4 ohms. I believe this was ahead of the R-1000 by a year or 2. Please correct me if wrong.
Have one, not as pretty as the R-1000. Early digital tuner, early built in equalizer, Yamaha top receiver in that period.

You made my day Harvestor! I thought I was the only person who had 1. (Maybe I Am.....)
I recently got a 906s at a yard sale for $15 in original box. Yep, weaker. Have not done a one on one comparison.
But what I pay attention to is RMS, then dynamic. Luxman R-117 is 160 and 700 dynamic.
I see * and **, do you have the 125 watt *? Please list if so. The 901s is hard to get info on. Thanks again!

    Yamaha RX-V2XXX series.

I have a couple of RX-V2090's @ 100W at 8Ohm. These drive a couple of big 4 Ohm JBLs. Volume knob rarely gets beyond 30%
