I bought a Sears Audio by Fisher 143-92531600 aka 92531 today and the owner had all the paperwork from when they were bought. I understand the "Sears Audio by Fisher" is not what people here associate with the brand. I wanted to contribute to the AK library on this since there was only anecdotal information I could find. Here is a scan of the product catalog from 1976.

This SAF receiver is definitely manufactured by the same company as a RS-2004A I worked on. Sanyo? It's made from the same parts slightly different design.

By 1976 Fisher was a wholly owned subsidiary of SANYO. So yes your presumption that your 92531 was basically a Sanyo as your 2004a is, is correct. The 9765 4 channel receiver in the book I have and it's very (WV Cousins) similar to the Model 634 FISHER.
