Had a chance to hook these suckers up and have a listen.
They have a real nice sweet warm sound to them with some great bass response !
I very much like how they sound !
I forgot how heavy these suckers are and almost dropped them ! ! hahaha

Here's some new pics and a video.

Hey i gave my friend that exact Technics Rcvr..he runs Klipsch bookshelf speakers off of it.
Not a bad sound, considering it uses 1 STK module for both channels.
Good tuner

I just sold a pair of AE500's. Very nice speakers, and I had the 300's about 27 years ago. They are the only speakers I ever regretted selling. Like you said, they have a nice warm sound.

Those Paisley speakers are real purdy. I've got Paisley .5 speakers in my bedroom. They sound good but don't look nearly as nice as yours. I'd like to learn more about them. Time for an early morning Googling.

I really like the look of those speakers! I have to admit though, I'm not familiar with the Paisley brand and initially thought I might see something rescreened with paisley patterned fabric. :D

(I might just be thinking too much about speaker fabric lately as I'm currently looking to up the WAF of a couple slightly scruffy Tannoy bookshelves for the living room.)

I just got some of these in less than nice shape, but with several hours of sanding, then applying only lemon oil (cannot beleive how dark they came out!) but I love it!, reclothed the grills with black instead of brown, cleaned out gunk from the voice coils, as there were no dust caps in place!
All in all they came out great, and the sound is wonderful! Ian Paisley knew how to design speakers!
And yes they are heavy for their size..:)
