This should be a great one. Els, Mickelson, McDowell are in great form. Woods appears to be happy, health is another issue. All the great young players stepping this year. Muirfield looks like it will be a bear this year. I wish I could be there.

Good enough to be the only player under par.

    Congratulations, Lefty!

I've been watching golf for almost 50 years. Mickelson's final round was one of the very greatest rounds I've ever seen. Brutal course conditions, the quality field, the pressure of a Major. Phil shoots a 66 and birdies 4 of the last 6 holes. I think the average score for the field was around 74. Wow!

That Scottish Open victory last week was just the confidence-builder he needed.

If he calls it his most memorable round, for all he's done, then it's one for the ages. It certainly was more exciting than watching somebody protect a 3-, 4-, or 5-shot lead.

He is adored by the UK fans, almost as much as Bobby Jones was.

This might be the start of something big from Phil.

After seeing Phil meltdown in the past, I enjoyed watching him in the zone on the final day. Way to go Phil.
