3D printed unipivot tonearm. Good idea?

Awesome. 3d printing is pretty amazing stuff. Its the closest we've got to the Star Trek replicator at this point.

Great thread. As an aside, have you ever looked at the Keith Monks design?. It is a simple but cleverly engineered arm. You might be like to try to implement damping the way they did it - a round lip around the tonearm going into a cup filled with silicone oil.

Great! I am playing with the idea to make a 3d printable turntable. Dunno how exactly since my printers do not go beyond 220mm x 2200mm, but i am pretty sure it is possible. I have just recently began thinking about it since i make so many replacement parts with my 3D Printer.

Maybe something portable like a AT 727 :

Sorry to revive an older thread. I wonder if it's possible to find a 3D printed tonearm rest for a Technics SL-1200 with Mayware Formula IV? The top part of the catch has been long gone.
