Thinking about a 3rd gen Miata. I miss having a convertible or T-top in the stable.
I have driven several first gen models, owned a second gen limited (6-speed, posi, leather, etc.), so I know the vehicle type. Great handling, very reliable, not very fast, maybe the slickest transmission around, but quick handling makes up for lack of forward motivation.
There's a couple retractable hardtops locally. Anyone own a 3rd gen and an earlier model to compare? Especially a hardtop. Extra weight any big deal? Significantly quieter than a ragtop?
Only considering a hardtop because the sound from a good stereo is so much better than a soft top (tops up, obviously doesn't matter when the top is down).
