620 relay

I am trying to replace the relay in my 620, it is numbered HC-2P- dc12v-f AP34219.
I have a brand new relay labeled HC2-HP-dc12v-f. AP3421f.
can I use this to replace the original?

If now where do I get the replacement?

relay went in just fine, but I am still not getting power to the relay, it never clicks over..multimeter teseted several resistors that appear to be in the relay circuit, but I cant seem to locate where the poer loss is coming from.

Relay works fine (sound out of the speakers) if you manually make the connection...

any thoughts??

Do you have 21-22 volts on the emitter of TR809 ?

Take a photo of C816 33µf/16vdc capacitor. Probably a small violet colored one with dark red lettering.

Probably nothing wrong with the original relay.

Lets hope not..No way Jose. Ground your black test lead to metal chassis ground and probe the emitter with the red test lead.

Oh BTW don't slip and short out adjacent pins or component leads. That will let the magic blue smoke loose.

yes, still registers high voltage. 80 v now.

Sure its not 80 mv? Are you sure your on the correct transistor ?. How about on the collector of TR804 ?

83.4 mv on tr804 collector side. relay switches when I touch the lead to the collector side.

That is the same voltage source as TR809 emitter.. Look at the schematic.

C804 or 805 may be shorted or D803 may be shunted.

Have you checked F801 and F802 with your meter ?
