Not much to this mod but thought it would be fun to share. After setting up my RPI2B with a DAC and putting it in a case I wasn't happy with the way it looked next to my Pioneer SX-828. So this mod happened
Parts needed:
1. Broke down $5 swap meet car 8track player
2. RPI2B + wifi dongle (RPI3B+ comes with them built in now)
3. HifiBerry DAC+ Pro
4. 8gb micro-sd with Volumio
5. Music stored on NAS being shared with SMB/CIFs
So, basically I've got the world's first bitperfect 8track player. HAHAHA
A couple of mods on the RPI were to extend the power pins to an LED that is inserted behind the program 1 plastic. Another later mod (not shown) was to power the RPI via the DAC by extending the power pins on the DAC to a DC female connector mounted in the rear as well (this mod is supposed to improve the sound quality of the DAC HAT).
