Akai CR-80DSS: Replacing the motor pulley

I picked up this Akai CR-80DSS quad 8-track recorder at an estate sale, seeing that it did not turn the tapes. I ordered a belt to start, and this was the state of the motor pulley when I went to put it on



Do I need a new pulley?



I know that the transport on other Akai decks uses this motor, but I'm hesitant to buy a parts deck only to find the same condition problem.

It definitely looks like the pulley is in sad shape. You might check with these folks to see if they have one available.

They were my first shot; they had one of the decks, but didn't list the part as available. I'm wondering if any of their reel decks use the same part, but I can't find a downloadable service manual to get a part number.
