Hey everyone,
Thank you for such a cool forum. This post is actually my first post on any forum anywhere so I'm cutting my teeth here. Im glad of it too.
I have this Ampco Inc. USA model AMP-A820 "Natural Sound" ( yes I know)Integrated Stereo Amplifier.
It is big, solid, heavy and I like it's sound a lot. Transformer is 4" x 5" and the amp seems pretty darn well constructed.
I'm hoping someone has heard of this company. They filed for a trademark in 2001 and the filing expired in 2002. There is an Ampco music rental company but not the same I'm pretty sure. They havent ever responded to my inquiries.
The Ampco name is tied to a type of metal, umbrella companies, construction, parking lot systems and sadly toilet partitions manufacturing.- if that's not an open door what is?- but nothing about this amp or Ampco Inc USA. I'm curious because I really like it and appreciate its sonic and build quality. I'm just beginning to understand electricity, amplification, circuits and such but it seems like a pretty well built amp.
Thanks for any input, opinions etc...
