Anyone at the Hotel yet for the fest?

That's great to hear Scott. I told you they had a fantastic sound. I just wish my wife would let me have a system in the bedroom. I would have loved to had them for there.

I loved the sound, they just didn't rock the block like I like to do some times, and I didn't have room in the livingroom for two pair.. I'm glad too hear you like the sound. Hopefully your wife likes the looks as much.

So what did you think about the bass on them? Was it enough, or are you going to add subs to them? I was pretty shocked and amazed by how much bass they had for being a smaller driver and speaker.

The wife hasn't seen them yet. :D

Listened to some Allison Krauss last night. The highs are amazing.

Have not decided yet if they are going in the great room yet or not. Will wait to judge the bass until they are placed in a decent position relative to the rear and side walls. If bass is lacking, have a nifty little 8" sub that will solve that issue.

My wife and I ended up getting here a day earlier than we planned..

The Hall of Fame just wasn't cracked up to be what I was hoping for, so we decided to cruisr on to Novi after we spent a few hours there...

So, was just seeing if anyone is here yet, and up for a drink at the bar?

BTW.. SWEET hotel.. Nice room, and ya gotta love free wifi :thmbsp:

LOOK ME UP ---I have a question for you. I should arrive Fri @ 3-4PM
Thanks --James

Leaving now to go to Greenfield village. We should be back at the hotel around 6 at the latest. I'm the only one wearing a shirt with a skull on the front with crossed guitars.. can't miss me..

Hey....... if you guys at the fest want something different.......just drive over to Windsor, Canada......lots of X-rated bars and great gambling casinos........you need your drivers license to pass thru the border check.....

I thought thay changed that or is that just to the south?

You probably can go to Windsor with just a driver's license, but you will likely need to prove citizenship to return the the US. Passport is best, "enhanced drivers licenses" work, birth certificates used to be accetped. I would check with the concierge at the hotel before I went to make sure what the current requirements are. It may vary with the threat level, too. It is an international border after all.

I wouldn't go without a passport. I always give my passport and DL when I hop across the border. Seem to have less trouble taking the tunnel. If anyone does go there you can stock up on cheap liquor / wine / beer at the duty free shop on the way back.

Correction - you DO need a passport or "enhanced drivers lisence"

I'm in 418 if anyone is interested...

However, because I had to fly in this time, I brought nothing with me.... Sorry.

There in spirit only... again. :sigh:

I had really hoped to make it this year, but it would only have worked in my schedule if the Fest had been 4-6 weeks later. Too much work (obligations plus income I'd be sacrificing) during this period to make such a long trip just for pleasure.

As I say every year, "Maybe next year..." Sigh...

Been great to put faces to names. So far it's shaping up to be something phenomenal! G'night for now.

It's less than 3 hours to the official start, but Festing is well under way (well, maybe not yet this morning for most people ...).

Ahhh!!! Nothing like an early-morning severe thunderstorm to get the ol' blood movin'!

Won't be able to get there 'til tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
