Haven't seen the ad but years ago, I knew (through my GF) a woman who bought the house next to hers so she would have room for the other half of her book collection. And a guy I recently traded audio stuff with is entirely out of room at his place, but he keeps buying records and putting them in cringeworthy places like stacked on his front porch. One step away from hoarding, imo.
