Audio transformer repair/rewinding?

It is the LF transformer in an Acoustat MK-121-C Hafler Red Medallion. Interleaved windings, nomex, not sure if it can be repaired or needs rewinding.

Heyboer does some of that. For a complete job of removing the old wire and rewiring its about twice the cost of just buyiing a new one.

You can still buy new output transformers, just not specific to that amp unless Hafler does have one in his basement. :D

Hammond and Edcore are a couple places to get transformers but these are basically general replacements and kit & hobbyists transformers.

It is designed and manufactured for this application, and just the -C Red Medallion version, not an off-the-shelf. This is why I'm looking just for a re-wind specialist.

Unless someone can get in touch with David for me, ... I'm looking for an audio transformer specialist please.

I am using TRS and Heyboer. Both are top notch rewinding company.
Gary at TRS just rewinds transformer, Heyboer does that and makes new one also.
I've been always satisfied by both.

Hey fellas', David Hafler passed away a few years ago. Try Heyboer.

Hey folks, how does one get in touch with Heyboer? Their website doesn't show any contact information, as I recall. I was investigating getting an OPT rewound for a Bell amp and tried email, but no one every got back in touch with me.
Thanks
Dave

The green wires going to the rectifier, between the two wires I get .3ohms and from each wire to the chassis I get the same. Is that normal?

I looked at the schematic. It is a center tapped winding with the CT grounded which explains why you see low resistance to ground. You should download the schematic and get familiar.

I am looking for someone to repair my McIntosh mc2100 transformer, I have a hum on my right channel, outputs were blown and the moron put in a 25amp slow blow fuse...
Well if I put it in mono the hum short is gone but goes into the right if in stereo. Just the switch? This thing is crazy.
