Time in Outer Space has all kinds of whacky stuff, a lot of 5/4, 9/8, even some 11/4 and polychords out the wazoo.
There are super-interesting similarities between Brubecks "Time" series and Metallica's 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums. Probably because neither wrote music by meter, they just happened into it trying to do something different that sounded "right". In fact if I'm not mistaken Brubeck couldn't read sheet music or had difficulties doing so.
