BIC 960 - Need some help with set up

Okay, just getting back into lps for the first time since the early 90s. I never knew the first thing about proper set up back then, so I'm learning all this for the first time. I've watched numerous set up videos on YT but I need something more apparently as it doesn't seem to be sinking in.

Not sure of the exact starting point, but I'll post some alignment pics. Do I need to remove the brush to really do this properly? Thanks in advance.

Yeah get the owners manual and follow the set up instructions in there. If you don't have the clear plastic gauge, just set the stylus so the tip is at the rear edge of the "A/S" "slide" and the cartridge body centered side-to-side in the headshell looking straight up from the bottom. Forget about using protractors. I mean, you can but it's not necessary. If you locate the cartridge as I describe, it will be correct.

I have removed all the brushes on my Pickering and Stanton cartridges as they DO affect tracking even if just a bit.
