Greetings from Nottingham Pennsylvania. As someone who has more half-dead gear than working equiptment, this seems like a good group of people to become friendly with. I have a basic understanding of electricity and some soldering skills but have never put any of my stuff under the knife by my own hand. You can expect posts that reflect this lack of technical knowledge so go easy on me. I have a Pioneer sx-750 and a Sansui 3000a that are first on my list to go through. My current (working) setup consists of a Pioneer sx-850 and a marantz 2230 in the bedroom with a Pioneer pl-a35 table. Looking forward to picking your brains and hopefully one day putting that knowledge back into this forum myself.

I would recommend building a dim bulb tester as one of the first things to accomplish. https://antiqueradio.org/dimbulb.htm
Then start out small and easy building your way up to the more complex projects.
