California Audio Labs CL-5 DAC Chip?

IMG_1482.JPG I picked up a minty California Audio Labs CL-5 with remote today for $35 on Craigslist. Yes, it's a changer and has no digital out, but it seems to be really well built, sounds decent, and is a step up from my old Sony. For $35 I figured why not? Does anyone know what DAC chip(s) this model has? I haven't been able to locate much info about the CL-5 online. The CL-10, CL-15, and CL-20 all seem to have two PCM1702 chips and a PMD100 filter, so I am guessing the CL-5 may be the same. I would like to know what I'm listening to. Anyone know?

If it doesn't say HDCD on the front, it doesn't have the PMD100. I couldn't find more info either, only that is a 20 bit DAC. PCM1702 is a 20 bit DAC.
I would open it and take some pics.

Good idea. Didn't think about that. I appreciate the HDCD info. Thanks!
