Got my little HA-1 back from the shop to experiment with grounding...



I added a ground between the C-2x and HA-1 and the hum is gone! With my C-4 I tried every ground configuration I could think of to no avail. It doesn't have the depth of soundstage that the C-2x's MC port has but the sound of voices is superb, so natural and effortless and the highs can really howl.
