Can someone show me how to hook up an FM antenna? Please!

I have a Kenwood kr6600. It has four thumb screw places on the back. There is 300ohm, 75 ohm, ground and one marked am. I got the twin lead tee kind off eBay for $4.95 shipped. Hooked it to the 300 ohm and ground. Signal went from between 1 and 2 to a solid 5 in the signal meter. And now the "stereo" lights up above the channel numbers.
