i am totally new to here and totally new to audio stuff. Please be patient :)
Here is the story.

I just started to play with all audio stuff (cd/receiver/turntable/speakers)
Got a Sanyo turntable TP-X1 (belt, but with counterweight) for 10 dollars.
When I was adjusting the tonearm, my daughter came to "HELP" and break the style.
it is a ST35D cartridge, so i ordered a cheap needle from Ebay (10$) and got it fix.
I am listening to it right now, sounds good, but not that impressive.

So I am thinking maybe i should upgrade the cartridge....
with some homework, i found that AT3600L is very popular here. (of cuz for dirty cheap price)

Because i am totally a newbie, so i don't wanna spend too much money before i make the commitment.
So, please suggest me some cheap but good cartridges to test-drive with.

Thanks so much
and have a nice weekend.

Seems to be an AT95. Aftermarket needles for it are generally good, but not always. There are also many who prefer the cheaper 3600 for its warmer, full-bodied tone.

Might as well try it.... there's not much else out there at that price point.

Is this the Sanyo TP-X1 that you are using?

Cartridges with a low compliance such as the Audio Technica AT 95E may not be suitable for the light weight tone arm.

Try a cartridge with at least a mid level compliance.

Maybe the Ortofon OM10 ?
