In Schaumburg IL for AXPONA...
Chevy's, a mediocre chain restaurant near the hotel:
I could tell when I arrived at the hotel. It told me where I was:
I exited the marketplace relatively unscathed--I "only" scored six records and two sets of Cardas interconnects.
Forget Klipsch...now these are horns, including two bass horns per side! (The Avantgarde Acoustics Trio.)
@GordonW might recognize these, and they are taller than I am!
Paging Gayle Sanders--your car is double-parked in the marketplace! (And your Eikon speakers were one of the best pairs I'd heard at the show.)
I can only eat this artery cloggery once a month...this was the Village Tavern and Grille, known for their chicken fingers. I had the fried shrimp...
Flux capacitor sighting (actually, speakers by MBL):
Favorite turntable: Obsidian with Viper arm, from Continuum Labs. Damn does it sound fantastic!

Man i miss the Bay and the food ! We lived in CA in 1994 to 1996 in Sacramento and it was a awesome time.

Air Force?
A few photos of the Treadwell mine ruins near Juneau Alaska. Dates back to the 1880's was the largest hardrock mine in the world in its day, employing 2000. The rain forest has rotted all the roofs off the buildings and trees have grown up around and through. Here are a few of the extensive mine buildings as they slowly get swallowed up by mother nature.
