Cheap headphone amps - worth purchase?

Looking for a cheap portable headphone amp for use on a plane trip.

Found this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Portable-Headph...ryZ86541QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Here are the specs:
Output 70mW(32Ω) 12mW(300Ω)
Output Frequency Band 10HZ-40KHZ
S/N Ratio >90db
Distortion Rate <0.05% (10mW)
Headphone impedance 16Ω-300Ω

Price: $10.00 plus shipping.

Would you buy it? Again, I'm not looking for anything that's going to sound like a $100 portable headphone amp, just a way to improve sound and volume while on a noisy plane.

Another question: can this be used with a car cassette adaptor?

Thanks!

Looks like a decent amp for the job, and the price is certainly right. But, all it'll do is make the volume louder, and can make matters worse if your source is noisy. I wouldn't delve into portable hi-fi amps unless I had a matching DAC to carry around with me. (Assuming you are using a digital device, such as an iPhone/iPod/or PCDP)

Unless your current portable can't overcome the plane noise, I bet you can do without this one.

Sure, it can be used with a car cassette adapter, but you may need some kind of adapter to send it into this amp.
