Chorus is for us

I see your wisdom Mr. Biscuit. I am still trying to decide how far from the wall to place the buggers.
Perhaps I will just brace for the next big one.

I have not found my Chorus Is to be all that sensitive to wall distance because of the front facing ports. The Chorus IIs were a different story with the rear facing passive radiators.

I hope this is true as one comment said he liked his to be 4' from the back wall. That won't
work for my room or most likely, with my wife. I have been told that the horn style speakers
do not require angling as radically as domed style speakers. Your thought?

Was he talking about I’s or II’s? They are quite different in their placement needs and I find more people on AK are familiar with the II’s which do require distance from the walls for the back radiator to work properly. I have my I’s up close to the walls and they sound great. In fact, I kept them over the II’s because of the ease of placement.

Toe in or out seems to depend somewhat on the distance between them. With about 8’ separation, I don’t need any toe in, 12’ needs a little.

Just my experience . . .
