Dave Brubeck Time Out on CD

Hello all. Would anybody know the difference between the 1987 release of Dave Brubeck's Time Out on CD CK 40585 versus the 1997 release CK 65122?

I have the 87 release but nothing to compare it to except the mono vinyl. I have read that all the Columbia jazz digital remasters from the late 80s were not so good. I have a viny copy of Kind of Blue from that series and it is not as good as other newer versions I have heard .

That was mine. When I put something out there, I usually put it up on audiokarma, Steve Hoffman forums and audiogon.

I have the original on vinyl, both stereo and mono. Mono is mono, the stereo is probably the best sounding recording that I have.

The 1997 release CK 65122 is a Columbia remaster. I have Jazz Goes to College on Columbia CD remaster from 1989. It's sound pretty dang good. Also have the original on vinyl.
