Does anyone stream to a Marantz NR1504 AVR?

I'm setting up systems for a couple of family and friends and have a line on a couple of used Marantz NR1504 AV receivers. They're far from top of the line at only 50 WPC but that's plenty and they seem to have a good reputation.

The 1504 is DLNA 1.5 compliant. Like Oppo and others, you can use a smartphone app or the UI on your TV to have the 1504 "pull" files from a NAS or other device on the network for playback. But can you use a Raspberry Pi or other music streaming/playback device to "push" files to the 1504 for audio playback?

Thanks for any info and advice.

Consider that an RPi can serve either as server for software like LMS where the answer is yes or as playback only where the answer would be no. Unless you connect it to a line input and bypass the internal DAC.

It all depends the software you choose to run. I use mine as player only using a DigiOne board fed from an i7-860 based music sever running LMS.
