I can't stand Starbucks coffee but when I took the bus to work, that let me off in front of a Starbucks I went in there every morning for one of those old fashioned cake doughnuts. Those are GOOD.

But Tim Hortons is still my tops.

Don't care much for the c store, factory stuff....

Always find the small local bakery stores, and they always have the best stuff...

    Prefer the cake style doughnuts.

Both Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme for different reasons. Dunkin' is nice and solid - cakelike, and Krispy is soft and airy. Depends on my mood, but I'm more likely to get a Krispy Kreme.

They used to be very good until they stopped making them at the individual stores and started selling the pre frozen thawed donuts. Sad that they went away from fresh. What's even sadder is that the customers didn't even notice when they did.

Many of us did, in my fair city. There was an uproar on the first day or two. doughnut sales down, so they branch off into 'other food choices'.

Myself, I prefer buying at the local family bakery, in business for over 80 years.

Best doughnuts I every had were made with potato flour, at the Spudnut shop, in my hometown. Sadly, they are no longer open. Those were amazing.

Love Krispy Kreme's Have local production stores here. A fresh off the line KK is a real treat. Their blueberry cakes are also a favorite. We have a local shop called Lamar's which are as good but a lot higher and harder to get too.

"My hometown" is Chatham, Ontario, up here in Canada. It might actually be worth the drive down into Ohio, just for fun. Thanks for the link.
