hi all, made myself a preamp, mu follower line stage with ecc84s and 6x4 rectifier.
custom PT, chokes and tubes courtesy of Konstantinos Tsakiridis of Tsakiridis Devices (Thanx!).
not finished yet, but it plays music and sounds amazing:banana:

the potensiometer is a crap one that i had in the spares bin, used just to get the thing running.
it will be replaced with a Blue ALPS.
I also have to cover the PT:p

it takes just above 2 volts to drive it to clipping at just above 39volts, clean gain is about 18.5 (tested at 20kohm load).
chassis work was done with a black&dekker and my hands, so not exactly precision cutting there:oops:

Maybe a cage over the tx, cap and rectifier, fastened to the screw slots in the top of the tx?

huh, don't believe I've ever run into that tube before. Seems a bit like a 12AT7 with a lot more current drive ability. Should make a right solid preamp tube. Single gain stage with a cathode follower arrangement?

Ive done something like that before using those mesh cups, bins, ect. used for desk organizing from Staples or Office Depot.
