Father/Daughter project Part III, Kenwood KA-9100 repair

Love this thread! My daughter is 2.5 years old (20 years of marriage and we thought it would never happen... but then SURPRISE when my wife was 39 and I was 46). Anyway she has our love of music (playing and listening) so I'm picking up a little Kenwood KR-5200 that I will attach my old Koss M80 for her to call her own. Hopefully I she'll learn to love vintage audio gear too.

After many life twists and turns, and a long hiatus from AK, I’m back to poking around with the hi-fi once again.

Got a bench setup and pulled this nagging project out of storage.
Knowing I still had the old buzz issue to put to rest, I spent some time getting my head around the possible source.
Tracked it down to the negative rail of the power supply (pin 25) going to the pre-amp section. then specifically to QK4 on the power supply board.
It was not happy with the BC327 I had in there. I put the original transistor back in and it quieted right down.
