    As a teenager (maybe early 20's) I had a pair of very small speakers (4 inch I think) built into white metal spherical enclosures made by some French Company I believe. This is back in the 70's if I recall correctly. For what they were, they sounded pretty good. I stuck mine up on the ceiling in the room's corners to reinforce the very limited bass they had.

    You are thinking of Elipson. They make quite respectable speakers still.

    At least the owner is honest about what he's selling and isn't trying to get some ridiculously high price for what he knows are essentially experiments.
