Just saw a 1980 Sansui GX-200 TT rack sell on eBay for $75!!

Someone is gonna be a real happy camper.

Another Lack Rack...

The repurposed Locker Rack I recently built (http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showpost.php?p=6613987&postcount=203) is excellent for storage but just far too big to let me run any more than the NS-1000s without putting speakers in front of the windows. I always liked the Lack Racks and as my gear is chunky utilitarian black stuff I thought it would suit nicely... and it does! Below is what I finished earlier today...

I plan to build a 2nd identical Lack Rack to put beside it allowing me to run a 2nd Yamaha Power Amp (M-85 once I fix it) plus give me some space on top for a desk lamp and a place for Headphones etc. The Locker Rack now lives on the other side of the room and is still used for storage as it's perfect for that.

Next task is to get my Mach 1s or 2s restored/modded so they can join the Loungeroom family... oh, and to build some speaker stands too ;)

Salvage rack from metal works

Picked this industrial rack up off craigslist and turned out to be an ideal stereo rack. Originally used to store metal dyes it can take a huge amount of weight so is easily up to the task of supporting big amps.

I ended up designing and building my own. The original plan was to produce a few of them, but it ended up being far from cost-effective. Still, it's a unique piece and very solid, at over 100 pounds without even filling the legs with sand.

Studio pic from when I first built it:

That looks very, very nice!

That is one of the coolest re-purpose racks I've ever seen.

In the past I've housed by main and HT systems in DIY racks made from red oak, with MDF shelves painted satin black, with oak veneer edging. Now I house them in Salamander Synergy racks.

I likewise use Salamander Synergy av racks. I like my gear concealed and these racks look professional, while it looks good in a living room.

BYW, its been a long time I've seen anyone using Classe' amps. The CA100 was one of my favorite power amps.

toilet flange speaker stand

got this set up someone here on the form. i used a a brass screw covers and a rich mahogany spray paint for the pvc. i think they came out well. They are heavy!!!!

Could have sworn I posted up pics of mine here but apparently I didn't...

Anyway, made it myself. Ambrosia Maple legs with Zebrawood shelves. Legs pinned with Walnut dowels. Finished in tung oil.

Made a stereo stand out of reclaimed pine timber from an old train station. Pegged together. The top is a slice of white pine with the live edge left intact.
White wash finish and one coat of satin varathane.

The first two photos are kind of old.
