You can't see me, but I'm standing in front of my PC and doing what all deadheads do...

    Aimlessly dancing around!...

Not any one show but all live at various venues.
This has become one of my favorite Dead albums.
Could it be that the Dead does Dylan better than Dylan?
    They certainly compliment one another!

Dylan is ok, but I like the Grateful Dead far more. I do think that the Dead really gave these songs something special in this compilation. The fit is amazing!

Source: Sean Weber Small rig, Schoeps cmc?? (cardioid caps on mic bodies)ORTF -> Oade pre (m118?) -> Sony F1/Beta rig, line out -> Sony TC-D5M analog cassette master by MFrench. From FOB/DFC. Mics at 6'5", at eye level to MF, covering the mics. The other mics on the tree were Neumann km84's, ortf-> Neu. p48v -> Sony TC-D5M @ 6'4"
Lineage: Sony TC-D5M master deck w/ master tape, no n.r. -> Tascam DVRA1000 DSD in PCM mode 24/96
Taped and transferred by Mike French

    Notes
This recording is from the exact same spot as 2-10-89,
and 2-11-89, and the same spot for the next run of shows in december of this same year (all six shows of these '89 Forum runs are from the same spot).
I was standing with the FOB mic tree right at my nose, covering them from behind, to conceal them from the GD crew on the elevated soundboard platform. This recording was from in front of the soundboard, and, not from the official taping section.
There were crew members up in the lighting scaffolding, looking for people recording from up front. We had the mics under black silk lace, and well concealed.
We had a huge quiet zone developed around us, of friends, and other people, who acted as blockers to keep area around us quiet, and keep the w00kies out, and away from the recording gear. MF
