Hafler Pro5000... On the bench

This isn't a recap, although I will do some testing. For now, I will just replace the fan and any cap grossly out of spec. Nothing bulging. The device is working properly.

The filter is disintegrating. Is there an obvious choice for replacement filter material?

Thank you for the help, avionic.

I swapped the Global Industries fan for a Nexus silent fan but at 22cfm. The Nexus didn't provide enough airflow. Now I've swapped in an Arctic AFACO-12000-GBA01 with 53cfm. It's doing a better job than the factory fan.

Global Industries - unknown cfm - 68c exhaust temp
Nexus realsilent - 22 cfm - turned off at 70c
Arctic cool p4 fan - 47c - not silent but nearly so

This isn't particularly scientific. It's a temp taken at 10m of white noise at a specific gain.

I think I can improve cooling with some air guides on the output of the fan. Unfortunately, my 3d printer is currently down but I will circle back to this once I get it back in operation.

The fan was initially silent, even after the 10 minute white noise test. After blasting a movie with plenty of explosions and carnage, the fan is loud enough to be audible.
