Help for Beginner with Garrard GHS-22

Hello,
I am new to the world of audio, and I'm trying to build a system for my room and I just purchased a Garrard Remote Control Music center Signature Series GHS-22 for $10 at a thrift shop and I am not able to find anything on the internet about it. When I plug it in it turns on and the turntable on top will spin when i lift the needle arm. But for some weird reason within a couple minutes it slowly loses power. If any person with some wisdom could just help me with a few questions I have, I would really appreciate you.

Welcome to Ak Kedrina. The system in question is fairly lower end, but for 10 bucks how can you argue. Your table probably has a belt that has aged and will need replacing. I'm sorry to say I have no idea which one would fit it. You also need a new needle too.

Thanks kermit z ! I also have a question about the speaker plugs on this thing. There are only two and they are not colored and they say 8 ohm min. What speakers can I use and how would I connect them?
