Admitting you have a problem is the first step.
Some of us live in denial and never think we have issues.
I watch that Hoarder show and see stuff I need.
Its a lab 420. It's my 1st turntable. I got it free on craigsllist this past summer. It had a bad cartridge (no left Chanel). I swapped the needle into a complete Pioneer shell I got from an old turntable my mom has and it was good to go. That turntable is what got me hooked.
I really like Realistic. Seems like there is a lot of it around here to be found cheap and it seems to be decent quality. There is a pic of my Realistic Mach II 's. Those where my first pair of big vintage speakers. Picked them up for $15 at a garage sale about 10 years ago before I got addicted. Also my 1st refoam job. I gotta pat myself on the back because they turned out perfect.
faber12, yes those Realistic T-100's sound good. However the Advent Prodigy Tower's next to it sound better....a lot better. It could be the positioning. I haven't had time to set up my room for sound yet. I'm planning to get myself some shelving for Christmas and move some things around.
Well, I fell off the wagon today. Marantz speakers that need foam (didnt know Marantz made speakers until today) and a Fisher ca-120 with cool VU meters. And this neon art picture that turns out is really rare. Apparently it has a bunch of hidden messages in it.
Nice! Marantz made some really good, underrated speakers. I have pair of Imperial I's that are one of my favorite vintage speakers, even making it into my main system for a while. Now, they're in a secondary system amongst my large collection of gear.
I think I've seen that poster before. Not with neon in it though. That's really cool.
