I started to get the urge for a new camera so after a lot of research a long fixed lense just made sense for me and the Panasonic FZ1000 was the one. After a month of use I still have a lot to learn but it's pretty impressive so far. Won't go into all the features all that's on line but a few of the things that stand out for me are the auto macro, smooth manual focus, good low light in both photo and video with the ability to shoot 4k and to pull stills from the 4k video. Does slow motion also. Here's some pics. All straight from the camera. The Lotus and rock pic looks much better with a crop.
