I am trying to create a bridge from my parents house to the farm so we can have internet out here. Is their anybody familiar with Mikrotiks products or with the concept that can help me out. I am in a bit over my head here.

I am a little confused. Do you not already have a ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

Correct....Where my wife and I live the only option for internet is our phones. I refuse to go satellite internet because I have heard nothing but bad things about it and they to have a data cap like my phone does when I use it as a mobile hotspot.

Not to be a PITA, but what part of Indiana do you leave in (area code? I live in the boonies here in SE Indiana and can still get cable. Surprises me that you do not have that available to you. But I guess if there is not enough warm bodies in a specific geographical location, Comcast (or other providers) would not see it as being a good ROI for supplying their service to those areas.

You nailed it! I am a loan house surrounded by fields. I'm guessing years ago when cable moved that direction they asked my grandparents if they wanted the service and they refused because around me they have access to it.

I would go with two of these:

Or possibly the LiteBeam AC/PowerBeam AC versions depending on how much overkill you want to go with. But at 2 miles the NanoBeam should be more than sufficient. I generally think Ubiquiti makes an easier to setup/maintain product that Mikrotik if you're not super into tweaking your IT to the nth degree.

Hook the second one up to a standard AC router to beam the signal around your farmhouse and Bob's your uncle. :)

For the wifi router, I like the Unifi AP-AC Pro:

Or the LR version if you want to save a couple bucks:
