Special night last evening at the Soggy Bottom.Tonight there's a steel band concert at the Clio Amphitheater. The local guy that put the show together is a drummer who has subbed in Jack's trio ocasionally.Last night has was subbing & he brought along a buddy of his to sit in for a couple of songs. That buddy was Daru Jones, currently drumming for Jack White's band.Word must of got out 'cause the joint was jumpin'.Also had a couple of steel guys,& a guitar player as well. They did a cover of Little Wing that was kickass.

Tuesday night,Nov.10 will be another Big Band night at the Soggy.a twenty piece brass section will be knockin' the dust off of the rafters.Come early table space is limited.Three sets of music starting at Seven, ending at Ten.Let's see a little SMAC club support for the great local music scene.

For those of you SMAC boys unable to attend this years Detroit Jazz Fest, rejoice! You will be able to see John Douglas, fresh from this years fest.He will be appearing this Tuesday evening as guest artist at The Soggy Bottom in Flint. This cat always brings it,you will not be disappointed.Hope to see some of you there for what will be three great sets of music,7:00-10:00 pm.
