Killed his dog!
Pretty decent movies. Turn down the subwoofer as they go overboard with the LFE in the fight scenes. In fact, kill the subwoofer with most all of the recent shoot-em-up movies.
Really ?
Sounds like your setup is not adjusted correctly..
Mine, was not at first(A/V pre/processor @ factory LEF default)
After a simple LEF menu reduction of 10db, all was fine.
Something you might consider, if not already adjusted, and if so, then consider reducing LEF some more..
Ya when he shoot's someone he almost always includes a head shot. Just to make sure. They should not have
Killed his dog!
It's kinda nice to have The Continental as a safe space as well.
The subs sound fantastic with music as currently setup. In fact, I spent hours dialing them in to get the sound the way I like it and I have really good subs, a pair of SVS SB4000's. Its movies where I find the low frequency effects offensive and yes, I do normally adjust the subs back if watching movies. I have to as I can't stand the thump, boom, thud thing going on. Sometimes I turn the subs off when watching movies. It was worse with my old Klipsch subs that have been relegated to my vintage sound system where they do well.
Its highly possible that I simply don't like the abusive LFE added to movie soundtracks.
This happens with a follow-up to a good first effort, I call it trying to pop the same sack twice. The sack is expended and the element of surprise gone. It causes me a certain reluctance to see a mk-2 version of a movie I liked.I thought the first was unexpectedly good, kind of an 80s throwback, but the second was stale and lousy, just combat porn. I wonder if the movies are intended to be sexually arousing in some sadistic manner.
