JVC M-7050 Amp & P-L10 Pre Amp! Some Pics.

I looked more closely at your pics, and see it's an integrated amp, so yes, no need for a pre. I originally thought it was a straight power amp. Once you have it set up, please post a video of it in action in the video thread for us to get a taste of this rare amp!
Cheers, Glenn

Hey Wally!

Looks like you're having some fun there! I always wanted to hear a pair of L-26's. Lots of fans on AK.
The M-7050 is an awesome power amp! I can have mine going all day, and it's barely warm!
How do you like the 3030?

Cheers, Glenn

Hi Glenn
The P-3030 match very well with the M-7050 as other Victor Amps like M-3030 or M-7070 or ML-10 will check later with Accuphase M-60 or Pioneer M-22 maybe also Sansui BA-3000
right its alot fun testing all the Vintage gear and keeps me abit busy
Cheers

Hello Guys,
I stumbled across this thread after searching for M-7050. I had one since 1985 and I’m the second or third owner. It worked flawlessly and stored it for over 20 years.

Well today I decided to fire it up slowly with a home made AC lamp variac. After about an hour or so I powered it on full voltage but I could not hear the speaker relays click off after a few seconds. All the fuses are intact and checked for continuity to make sure. So I’m stumped as why it it does not work at all now. Any ideas or inputs would be appreciated.

First thing I noticed is the on off switch looks stuck in. It shouldn't stay in that position. Un plug the amp, and play with the switch and see if you can loosen it up a bit so it returns to the correct position each time you cycle it on and off. You may need to pull the case and give it a shot of deoxit, and watch that its operating smoothly. Also the relays could be dirty. I haven't done this, but others open up the relays to clean the contacts. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to clean out the dust and do a thorough inspection for any leaky or buldging caps as well.

Minty A-X77 Amp with a complete and functioning flap. Sounds awesome with my JVC Zero 6 speakers.

Not much mention of this one here? I didn't look at all the JVC threads but when I searched I didn't get any hits within this thread.20200201_084030_resized.jpg 20200201_084006_resized.jpg 20200201_084015_resized.jpg

I put it over there as well. I think I seen GD70's Avatar and JVC and opened the thread. He started both of these JVC related threads.

WOW! It's beautiful!
The A-X77 isn't seen much, the A-X55 a bit more probably because it was less expensive. I have a 77 also, door missing. It was given to me as a token gesture from a tech that couldn't fix my M7050 after having it for nearly 6 months. The 77 works perfectly.
This replaced the A-X7, which you also rarely see.

Cheers, Glenn

Specs look impressive. Much like the HK I just dragged out.

Time for a show us your early 80s silver translational integrated amp thread.
