I think this is Paul's "Oh Sh*t, my amp doesn't work anymore" expression. :D

:lmao: Yup! That was before Paul figured out the binding posts were shorting against the plate. That little amp sounds damn fine too.
I really had fun this weekend and enjoyed visiting (cutting up) with Ken during the trip.

Thanks to all, esp. our host/hostess, for the tunes, gear, company, a day to remember. I passed six pieces of gear on to others (five to Angus, IIRC), and bought two: the Dyna Stereo 35, as assembled by Celt (beautifully, too), and a way-underpriced Musical Fidelity X10 v3, whose former owner I don't recall. :scratch2: I got home, was overtired most of the next day, got the new gear into my system late in the evening, and was up until 2 AM this morning marveling at the sound of it all. :boring: It was good to see you all again! :D

Thanks for pointing that out Denny :D

Also Thanks a TON for your help and advice with the little VOM project. It came in very helpful and I now know some of the things my shop needs.:thmbsp:

No problem.

Just remember not to be afraid to run the drill fast enough to let the Unibit do the work. Spend the little extra money and get the ones that are made in the USA. I was cheap and bought a set made in China. They don't stay sharp. One good bit should run about $15-$20.

I was surprised at how nice that little sucker sounded. You should try running your VOTT's with it sometime (maybe that's your plan). I bet it would have plenty power after hearing it with the Herresy's.

Damn, guys, looks like a great time - thanks for all the pics, I love pics of AK gatherings. :thmbsp:

Are you POSITIVE it isnt the " I should have given that damn Mit. Pre amp to Russellc" look? I can forward my mailing addy to ya:D

Russellc

BTW, I ended up with a nice tube caddy (maybe endspecs) :scratch2: and a lovely CD entitled righty tighty lefty loosy. If anyone would like to claim these, just let me know where to send the cd, and come get the caddy.:D

Yes Jay that is my tube caddy, you can go through it and pick what you want. If you need the caddy you can use it, just leave some real nice kt-88's or the like in it when I come get it. :D. I found and tested all the tubes I needed for the fisher today so I am close to testing it.
