Hey guys, I've got a KA-801 amp and have a (probably noob) question.
What exactly does the attenuator switch do?
I had some issues with speaker balance (suddenly became overwhelmingly left-balanced but with some right) earlier while listening to records. I fiddled with the wires on my cartridge a bit to no avail so I switched to my FiiO and had the same problem. I had the attenuator flipped on to -20dB, so I flipped it off and it seemed to fix the balance.
What's the issue here? Why did this fix it? How do I keep from needing to do this again?
Thanks!
