Kenwood M1A in protection mode

I posted this in the solid state forum and was guided here.

I'm looking for assistance in troubleshooting an M1A amp that is in protection mode.

I've owned the amp for many years and it has been trouble free until now. I had some noisy switches on my preamp and the M1A went into protection mode when I operated said switches a few days ago. The amp came back to normal operation when I powered it off and back on. This occurred a couple of times. Then after a third time, the amp would not come out of protection mode, red light flashing.

I tested the DC offset at the relay and it is very much off on one side. Reading is 0.003 VDC on one side, but -63.2 VDC on the other side.

Since I know not how to troubleshoot these amps, I'm looking for guidance.
(I can handle a soldering iron, and I can read schematics).

As an aside, I used deoxit on the (NAD 1300) preamp switches and it is nice and quiet again set up with a spare amp for the time being.

Thanks

Steve
