Kicked Out

From what I have been observing, it's an OS/browser issue for the end user. Someone mentioned possibly a browser settings issue. Safari seems to pop up a lot, don't know what to offer there, I don't use an iOS platform to view the website. As far as IE, can you consider switching to another browser? Try Google Chrome, or the latest version of Firefox? Those two appear to be stable for this website.

I'm running all iOS both laptop and phone have not had one issue what so ever.

Problem is bad this morning, running windows 10 on a Microsoft Surface pro. I have been using this for a number of years with no changes on my end, other than the occasional windows upgrades, of which I have not had one in a while.

@Wardsweb @luvvinvinyl

You have a scope issue with the login cookie, because you've four realms:

http://www.audiokarma.org
http://audiokarma.org
https://www.audiokarma.org
https://audiokarma.org

The login for each realm is separate. I'm not going to document all the repro cases, but the below steps illustrate what's going on. Be sure to verify the URL in the address bar after the page loads, as sometimes www.audiokarma.org will change to audiokarma.org and sometimes http:// will revert to https:// and vice versa. /forums/index.php can be left on if you need to edit it. I've tested this on Safari and Chrome.

1) Go to each of the four links above and logout if logged in.
2) Go to https://www.audiokarma.org and login.
3) Click Home, which takes you to https://audiokarma.org. You'll be logged out. Log in.
4) Go to http://www.audiokarma.org. You'll be logged out. Log in.
5) Go to http://audiokarma.org. You'll be logged out. Log in.
6) You should now be able to move between all four realms retaining login.

You have to have rewrite rules to rewrite all reams to the one realm you've configured in Xenforo, or better permanent redirects.

I am having issues with being logged out of chrome on my android but fine on my desktop.
The info is saved but have to continue logging in now

I get logged out whenever I go into PM's. Then it won't let me login at all. I have to close the current window and reopen AK and I am instantly logged in. This has been happening for weeks now

yup I have to log in and out all the time - many time happens even after logging in and just going from Bartertown to say Tape or Turntable forums

There are myriad reasons why people could be having issues actually. Its because if you took ten members and looked at how they connect here they would all have different operating systems , plugins , security software and browser settings.

The maddening thing about these types of issues is the lack of accurate information given by the afflicted. Most of that I place squarely on the devices/browsers they use and the lack of accurate tools for dumping diagnostic information.

I wouldnt assume anything in that direction, there are many here that I converse with that actually are in the IT and Tech field as a profession and it affects them as well. I've personally gone as far as re setting my entire operating system (s), clearing cache, cookie, favorites and bookmarks and creating a completely uncorrupted platform to sign on with and on certain devices it continues. When dozens of people conclude factually that they only have issues with one website there's more to it than you are suggesting.

Faultless logic!

The first question when troubleshooting a problem is, "What's changed?" In this case, nothing on my end. So. . .

It would be nice if we could get some kind of update from the powers that be. Even if I'm getting my ass kicked 'shooting a trouble, I've got to let my clients know what's going on. :dunno:

Everything's groovy here. Don't know what to say. Google Chrome, Safari, IE, Android ... whatever.

Hey I was getting kicked out a lot for a couple of days?? And early today but it's working now ... so far and now I see http(S)! It did not show that before???

Just not trying to be overly speculative. I really have zero idea what is being done here or what sort of actual things are being done.

FWIW.
And I probably shouldn`t mention it, as the issues might reappear !
But, for the past 24 hrs. I`ve been "forced logged off" only once(late yesterday afternoon).
So, it would seem, that with my lap-top`s IE browser configuration, that everything is stable so far whilst navigating A/K`s site.
And I`m very happy about that..
I`m guessing that the debugging is progressing.. Yes !!

Much thanks to the people behind the site working hard at getting all/most the issues fixed.

Kind regards, Billy "Ferrous Oxide"

Well, I've tried everything being discussed in these threads, and the site is basically unusable for me at this point. I get logged out at every step, no matter what I try.
Safari/IOS 12

Have you tried the incognito mode in one of your browsers?? That might work??
